For the past month, Hailey has been taking ice skating lessons at the Peaks. She had been asking to do this for a while now and we finally got her signed up. There are only two or three (on a good day) in her class and two coaches that teach the class.
That equals = private lessons. :-) Not technically, but pretty much. It's awesome. The first day was intense. She could hardly stand up on the skates. Her coaches wouldn't let them touch the sides of the rink and instead of helping them up when they fell, they would get down on the ice with them and teach them how to get up by themselves.
After just 4 lessons, she is so comfortable on skates and all over the place. She informed me the other day that she's ready to buy her own skates so she can bring them with her to the rink like her coaches do.
This video is a little hard to see, but if you can follow the little one in the blue jacket, it's a treat. :-)
After their class is over, they get 15 minutes of free skating time. I have the hardest time getting her off the ice when her time is up. I'm overly impressed with how well she is doing and how fast she is picking it up. What i'm not looking forward to is how much this passion might end up costing us, but we'll cross that road when we get there. :-)

Hailey skates better than I do...
Go Hailey!
I love this! It's so fun that she enjoys it so much and has learned so much in such a short time.
Awesome! Go Hailey! That's seriously impressive. :)
