Nate had been having severe back pain for quite some time so we finally went in for an MRI and found that he had an L1/S5 disc protrusion impending on the nerve.
It was extremely painful and the doctor wanted to do surgery. We actually had surgery scheduled and backed out two days before when Nate came to the conclusion he wasn't 100% on board with back surgery. He opted for an epidural instead and it worked quite well, for now, anyways.
