February 2016 Provo City Center Temple

I was fortunate enough to have the experience of volunteering at the Provo City Center Temple open house.  We had family come into town and go with us to a session of the open house. My parents came, Nate's parents, Nate's cousin Mandy, Nate's aunt Jayna and my cousins, Rush and Cash.

Steve Lund us a huge part of this temple open house and he is also Scott's cousin. He took us on an amazing tour and told us amazing stories about the history of the tabernacle and how they turned it into the temple.

January 2015

January consists of a lot of warm snuggles. Especially with Koda.

Addy is always a big help in the kitchen.. the best part is, she helps with all smiles on her face.

Snowflakes!!

Addy doesn't like to be far from mom. Sometimes this means ending up sleeping on the kitchen floor while I make dinner.

December 2015 iPhone Randoms

While Grandma and Papa Luke were visiting, Papa got a phone call that his truck had been stolen. Luckily, I had a friend who was a cop in Provo and he was able to help out with some things regarding that.

December 2015 Christmas Morning at Grandma and Grandpa's

Christmas morning is always fun and exciting at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Grandma Johnson in true Christmas tradition bought all the girls new dresses. Of course, they looked adorable. Once everyone was done opening presents, Hailey said she had a present for everyone. She had written a note and made an ornament to give to the family. It was such a proud moment to see her do such a sweet thing for everyone without any help.

December 2015 Christmas Morning at Home

Christmas morning is always so much fun. This particular morning was the best because we hadn't had any snow yet. We woke up Christmas morning to tons of it. It was so still and magical and pretty outside.  We went downstairs and opened all the presents and enjoyed time with just the 4 of us. After we finished opening presents, we got ourselves ready to go to Grandma and Grandpa Johnson's house. It's tradition for us to go there every Christmas morning and see cousins and finish opening presents.
We went outside to load up the truck with presents and ourselves. The truck was parked on the corner curb of our house. I walked to the passenger side and open the door. Addy had walked around to the backseat door on the driver side to get in. As i'm putting presents in the front seat, the truck jolts, snow falls onto my head from being loosed on the top of the truck and I see Addy fly across the back seat as her door slams shut. Still trying to make sense of what all just happened and asking Addy if she is ok, I look up and see through the windows on that side of the truck that a car had slid right into us, t-boning the side of our truck. Realization set in and I realized that had Addy been seconds slower getting into the car, she could have either had her legs trapped inside the door jam of the truck or her entire body trapped between the truck and the car who slid into us. Luckily she had just jumped up onto the door jam and the car hit right then sending her across the back seat. I told the girls to stay where they were and then Nate and I went around to see if the kid who hit us was ok. He was, thank goodness. He asked us not to call police and that he would go to the ATM and be back. Well, we knew right away that wasn't going to happen and with it being Christmas morning, Nate let it go.  We were in a bit of shock the whole way to Scott and Vals. We were so grateful the timing ended up the way it did.
