Halloween!!!

Halloween this year was a little interesting. Hailey was VERY intrigued by all the crazy stuff at the stores, however, not very excited on Halloween night. We went to Nate's parents house and there was a witch at the front door that didn't sit well with her. It took us a good 5 minutes to get her past it. THEN... she looked up only to see Grandma and Grandpa looking like this...

Once she heard Grandpa's voice though, she was somewhat ok. It still took her all night to want to be close to him. GEEEZ.. it took ME all night to want to be close to him... he was FREAKY! :-) Nice work on the makeup Grandma!
Jordan and Melissa were looking quite um... well.... I have no words...

Hailey was ADORABLE in her cute little bumble bee costume. But, I ALWAYS think she's cute. :-)

Then there was Carmen...

The hottest nerd i've ever seen! :-)
Little Addy was such a sweet little pumpkin girl. She didn't like Grandma's face too much. The funny thing is.. she didn't mind Grandpa's.

Needless to say, it's a good thing Nate and I didn't dress up. (ALthough, he decided on the way to the party that I was a professional photographer and he was a professional athelete.) I think Hailey would have REALLY had a hard time if we looked crazy like everyone else. It was a blast.

Johnson Family Pics

We recently had some family pictures taken. Our friend Darla took our wedding pictures and now, 4 1/2 years later, took some family pictures for us. She is amazing. You can see more of her work here. Although Hailey did NOT want her picture taken, Darla was able to capture some PERFECT personality shots of her. Addy was completely content in that little bowl and probably would have stayed there all night if we let her. As for Nate and I.. well, we are just two giddy kids in love.. what more can I say!! :-) I had a hard time narrowing it down to just a few, so, enjoy the plethora of pics!

Johnson Artwork

We needed an excuse to get out of the house today, so we went and bought a couple pumpkins. Hailey thought it was pretty fun to watch us and play on the counter while making a mess with water all over.

This is our AMAZING artwork! No special tools, stencils or carving knives. Just us, a pumpkin and a steak knife. Yep... we're professionals!

Nate's was pretty sweet. Yes, it's a pumpkin eating a smaller pumpkin! Genious!

Mine was well, an experiment.

And all the while we were busily carving our pumpkins, we realized that Hailey wanted to do a little artwork of her own.

Sneaky little stinker she is! A very cute stinker! :-)

Horsey Poo Poo??

So Hailey has this quirky thing where randomly she will yell "Horsey Poo Poo!" or even just look at you and say it in a quiet voice. WHY??? We don't know. But she thinks it's quite funny to say it. Especially at the most odd times. Well, we have gotten quite use to the phrase "horsey poo poo".

Well, the other day, while at my parents house she came walking into the room we were staying in with my mom behind her assisting in holding out her hand. She looks at me and says "Mom, Horsey (then quickly correcting herself) Hailey Poo Poo!"

I look at her hand craftly covered in 2 year old poop and think to myself 'humans are disgusting'. It's true. So, I took her into the bathroom and cleaned her off.

Along those same lines:

Today, I hear a faint knock at her bedroom door after her 3 hour nap. She usually just comes out of her room when she wakes up, however, thinking this might be fun, I go upstairs and knock from the other end of the door. She opens it, only to show her face through a small crack. "Mommy!" she says in a stern yet, almost whisper.
"What Hailey?"
"Look!" She says as she opens the door widely and points to the center of the floor. I look up and witness a pile of 2 year old poop with a clean diaper sitting next to it.
I said "did you go poop on your floor?"
she said, "yep! Good girl Hailey!"

Obviously I couldn't get mad. It was actually quite funny. I just sat her down and explained that we don't do that and next time, to let me know so we can go to the potty.

I think someone might be ready for potty training... just a guess...

I melt...

Have you ever heard that song 'I Melt' by Rascall Flats? Well, that's how I feel when I see moments like this. The two of them interracting with eachother is so stinkin cute. Hailey's phrases to Addy are:

"Good Mornin' Addy!"
"Hey Cute Girl!"
"You're Awake!"
"Hi Princess"
"See me????" (with her arms held wide waiting for Addy to magically jump in her arms)

as well as many others. I use exclamation points because she is usually YELLING them to her! :-)

(and who could resist such a cute face)

Pumpkin Girl

While in Vegas, my mom and I took Hailey to a pumpkin patch. It was so much fun. Hailey just ran and ran and ran around looking for that perfect pumpkin that would suit her expectations! She kept saying "Look Mom! Punkin!" :-) You'll have to get her to say it, it's the cutest thing.

Cornbellys

We decided to take Hailey out to Cornbellys the other night. It was a blast. Of all the fun things to do there, we could NOT get her off of the jumping pillows or the princess bounce house! She's obsessed with Jumping!

We went on a Hay Ride with the girls and they LOVED it. Hailey had a grin on her face the whole time and kept repeating the word

'Bouncy' over and over. Addy fell asleep. I guess the rough terrain just put her right to sleep.

Hailey and Nate stopped for a little Daddy-Daughter game of

teather ball.

They had a little Princess section where the little ones could dress up like a princess and take pictures in the carriage. Hailey wanted NOTHING to do with the dress up part, of course, however, thought the carriage was pretty cool stuff.

Hailey bustin' a move on the stage!

There was a haunted house dinosaur there that was pretty freaky and even though she didn't want to go inside, she's obsessed with wanting to look at the picture of it over and over. We had a great time. We topped the night off with a stop at Tepanyaki where Hailey pretty much ate all of Nate's noodles and then home where the girls cashed out with how tired they were from such a fun night!
