Ensenada Cruise

Nate and I planned a little getaway for our 10th Anniversary.  We decided that since we loved our Disney Cruise so much the year before, that a cruise was the choice for us. We went on a 4-night, 5-day cruise to Ensenada Mexico with a day stop in Catalina Island.  This cruise was the PERFECT trip for us. We flew to California and got on the boat the same day. When the cruise was over, we flew home the same day we docked so it was nice to not have to pay for a hotel.  This trip was just what the doctor ordered. We were able to just relax and do whatever we wanted. When we got to Catalina, we rented some cruiser bicycles and just rode around the island exploring. I almost died at one point while trying to take a picture and biking at the same time. Glad I didn't. When we took a little boat back to our ship, we were surrounded by hundreds of dolphins. It was pretty much the coolest thing ever. In Ensenada, we first walked around the city just to explore. We bought some hats before doing something that would turn out to be one of the most memorable experiences of our trip. We got to hold a baby lion cub. This was by far one of the coolest things we've done. She was a little squirmy but it was still pretty amazing. After exploring the city, we took a day trip to La Bufadora. It's a blowhole in the ocean and it was unbelievable. It really was such a great experience.  We also ran into someone we recognized. Someone who was on our boat. Then, we realized it was our fertility doctor. Weird.  We walked through all the mexican shops and before getting back on the bus that took us to La Bufadora, we stopped for some famous tacos. The line was really long and we were afraid of missing our bus so we didn't get any, though we were really bugged because we heard they were amazing.  Our guide found out we didn't get any and ran to the front of the line since she knows the owners well and brought us tacos. They were the absolute best tacos we've ever had. Nate said he would take that trip again for the tacos alone. The last nights cruise was very relaxing. We went to a family comedy show and we couldn't stop laughing. Our comedian was hilarious.
